Sydney – Venue Research

From time to time during the conference week, we took time off and went out looking for possible venues for the 4th International Mush Conference which is scheduled for October 20, 2005 – concerning the wedding ceremony as well as the conference itself.

The ceremony:

11.10.2004:  Starting out research trip together with Deb's mother, Edith

A first look at the Garrison Church

Returned there on Friday to have a meeting with the Anglican reverent

Margrethe was here with Frederik

Thursday 14th of October: The Danish Church in Pennant Hills, 20 kilometers out of town. Had a really nice meeting with the Danish Minister, Torben Ebbesen, and put our signatures on a piece of paper – the socalled ‘Notification of Intended Marriage’.

St Stephen's Church near the center

IMC provided us with a helicopter so we could take a good look at St Mary's Cathedral – where Deb was baptized, and where Deb's mum and dad were married

St Mary's Cathedral is located right in the heart of the city, next to Hyde Park

So big it can only make you feel very small.

Entrance to the park behind Vaucluse House

A water fall trickles in the background in this secluded corner of the park

Lovely site for a picnic, that's for sure. But the place to have our wedding ceremony?

Facing the water fall...

...and this is the panorama when you turn around.

Vaucluse House, Wentworth Road, Vaucluse 2030. Att: Kylie Pollard, tel 02 8239 2288

Moving on for more options

Then of course there is the Opera House itself...

...which has a place in the front for functions

Still thinking about it...
