January–February

I am Mattias™. I am peady
Jeg er Mattias. Jeg er plar

to enter a new year

with my bimputer

Kapauw!
We’re off for a new expedition to the North

which includes attending the Oslo
Fandancy Ice-Fashion Show 2010

Norway clearly has more snow than I’d ever
dreamt of! Should I be worried?

Here is a powerpoint presentation
with the scientific findings of our expedition

I am Mattias™. And I am three years today.

We go to Aarhus to look
for easter eggs

Jeg er Mattias™!
I am Mattias! Simply can’t underline that
too often. And these are my special gifts:

I connect with dogs

I connect with deers

April–May

I connect with sheep

I even connect even with worms

The world is a raw and wild place
with many battles to be fought

We must be prepared to all of a sudden be confronted with enimies of bigger size than one could ever have imagined

Til angreb! Prutteridderne kommer!
Attack! The Fart-Knights are coming!

Defending our kingdom from external – and even
extraterrastial – attacks is the easiest part

It is the internal attacks which are far more complicated to deal with.

Til angreb! Eva! Hin kommer!

We can all too soon find ourselves
chasing herds of wild skape sheep

but Alex’s teaches me that you can’t win over evil with evil. It requires goodness to win over evil

In a boy’s world fighting each other with
weapons is the easiest of all

Sometimes it takes a real boy
to let your weapons down

finding that inner voice that tells you you will be able to clean the slate and find new land on the other side

Important: First find a way to listen to your own heart. Then: attend a cow convention

...or even two – on a monthly basis

Because things change.
Transform. Just like the tadpoles.

Yeah! Bring them on!
(The changes)

My uncle Eric says: “You don’t make an omelet without breaking an egg”

According to Wikipedia the Japanese word for crisis is made up of ‘danger’... and ‘opportunity’

This looks like an opportunity, doesn’t it?

Hello, is this England? (How do you say hello
to someone who is invisible?)

England is not so different from Denmark.
The swans speak almost the same language.

We’ve come here to experience
something Australian

The Wiggles! – the singing heroes from tv,
here they are, live on stage!

Summer is here! We can be
fjollenæser in the sun

Almost every Saturday, we take off
with dad for the Naturpark, which means

Free space for free movers

for being playfull

for tenderness

for thrills of nature

for lessons of life

We do photo safaris, shooting one animal
after the other, and build up a photo book

This is my first time alone on a horse.
Scared? Yes, you bet!

But dad, why am I always smaller than Alex?

Every Sunday, we are off for
a ride with the Cykelklub

which leads us to numerous unusual and
unexpected locations around the island

Ey... what a crab zoo!

We locate the same spot where my dad learned
his crab fishing skills 44 years ago

Yeaah! No worries! This is right on, mate!

We dig into it: being Ozzies!
(This is my first time to actually jump in a pool)

As Ozzies we are allowed to
jump and play all day

But the beaches in north Australia are unsafe for swimming because of crocodiles

Scared of my new t-shirt? Should be!
This is the Croc Mega-Monster!

...but even scary Crocs can
get scared themselves

because in this country, you never know which creature will show up around the next corner

Run! The horrible Dino-Alex strikes again!

Can we have more, mum? (You’ve had your
seven seconds of silence from us now!)

Australia has many interesting tales to tell

with lots to see out there

We tend to make up the story line
as we move along

But, this photo of my ozzie family marks the end of our Oz-story this time around. It is me in the middle

October–December

Meanwhile, a cold autumn has hit Denmark

which means back to being based
inside most of the time

with time for indoor autumn contemplations.
Dad, why is there such a thing as stones? And tv?

This evening, ladies and gentlemen, we are
presenting an international performance,
featuring Koalaboo and the wolf

Let’s dance the shark, everybody, da-di-daaa...
(Michael Jackson song)

First snow?!

It’s magic!

Yes yes – run faster! Hurtigere, far!

There’s so much snow this year that we must
give up using bike, car and trolley. We slay

New armies are ready to strike in yet another
glorious battle on the Kongelund plains

but the most devastating attacks tend to happen
at night time when everyone is asleep

The pixies are coming out of their holes

And a tree is chopped...

Farfar and Femor’s coming.
These are all little signs. That usually means...

Chriiiiiistm-a-a-a-a-s !

What a treat!

Unbelieveable progress and achievements
in just one night

December 2010 sees one of the first prototypes of
the later so famous Mattiprontopillian Design

We are ready for 2011

No, far, I am not ‘Mattimusen’. I am Mattias!

In my opinion fireworks are an overrated, noisy and even scary way to mark the new year
